Writing:

I realized rather belatedly that I forgot to send out a monthly update for July! This will be brief, as the vast majority of June was spent in recovery after my gallbladder surgery. I’m finally feeling better, and my creative brain is itching to work on something.

Word Counts in June:

Blog/Newsletter: 826
Cartridges & Catacombs: 1205

Total Words Written in June: 2,031
Total Words Written in 2021: 35,039

Plans for July:

Kiddo starts back at summer camp next week, so I’m hopeful for a little more writing time. I’m going to be spending some time on an outdoor project in the mornings when the weather is nice, but when I’m not working on that, I want to be writing. I have BLOOD OF SALT, TEARS OF PEARL rewrites to work on, as well as my D&D campaign, which will be starting back up this weekend. I’ve also been noodling a 1930s archaeological fantasy a la The Mummy and Indiana Jones that I might take a stab at, or I might do some more worldbuilding on my epic fantasy and try to home in on a main character and plot (I have some vague ideas there, but I feel like I need to solidify some of the fuzzier details on the world first). We’ll see!
